Hale Natural Unitted Kigdom

About us

Hale Naturals® started in 2012 with a vision to educate and promote healthy eating in the U.K. We believe that snacking on foods does not have to be unhealthy, this is where we provide a healthier alternative. All our products are carefully managed to make sure we use only the finest ingredients for maximum flavour. Natural, healthy and sustainable were at the forefront of the whole Hale Naturals® ethos.

Hale Naturals® first product was PPB® Powdered Peanut Butter. We formulated a special blend of natural and sustainable materials that tastes great and can be used for so many other uses than just peanut butter. There are four varieties of PPB® which are Original, Chocolate, Cinnamon and Stevia. You can visit our Recipes page where you can find hundreds of recipe ideas for all the products we supply.

Hale Naturals® are committed to bringing you the best quality, natural and sustainable food products.

All Hale Naturals® products are manufactured in the U.K. to the highest standard.

Eco-Friendly Green Initiatives from Hale Naturals®

Act locally, think globally…

Renewable and sustainable materials.

Packaging

We reuse all boxes, plastic bags, bubble wrap & styrofoam received from our manufacturers. It is reused in packaging materials for other aspects of our business or recycled through our local council’s green initiatives scheme. We also try to source renewable and sustainable materials in all aspects of the packaging and manufacturing process for our products.

Bottles

The Bottles we use for our PPB® products are 100% PET* recyclable. The lid is also recyclable and can be widely recycled throughout the world.

*Bottles made of Polyethylene terephthalate PET are recycled to reuse the material out of which they are made and to reduce the amount of waste going to landfills.

Labels

Our labels are designed to use the smallest quantity of paper possible to make sure that we have less of an impact on the environment. Many printers will use huge rolls of paper to print on, then have excess paper which is thrown in landfill. But all of our left over paper from the printing press will be recycled and could end up in our boxes. We use paper labels which is a greener alternative to UPVC labels.

Boxes

The large outer boxes that we use to ship our products to wholesaler are made from 85% recycled paper. The 15% of the box that is not recycled is the outer layer which is printed on and holds the structure of the box together. We continue to move forward with our green initiative so one day we hope to boast about 100% recycled boxes.

Office

At Hale Naturals our staff will always make sure that we get the most out of everything we touch. For example we don’t just fill the kettle up for one cup of tea or coffee, we make sure that we are as eco-friendly as possible. It might sound silly to most people but we like at least 3 people to want a cup of tea or coffee before the kettle gets turned on. This not only saves our company money but is also helping to save the environment. Our water tower has reusable cups and our meals are all home made and prepared by our staff making sure that we do not use excessive amounts of packaging from individual shop bought lunches.

Product Quality Control

All our ingredients are tested for quality and supplied from the most sustainable sources. We do not cut corners when it comes to quality, we make sure that all the ingredients used are of the best quality and the plant used to manufacture our product is accredited and operates a HACCP* system.

* HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) is a system that helps food business operators look at how they handle food and introduces procedures to make sure the food produced is safe to eat.

Recycling

Any paper, cardboard, metal or plastic that we cannot reuse, we recycle through a private recycling company. This is a little extra expense to our company, but we are doing our bit to save the planet for future generations.

As part of routine inspections, the enforcement officer will check that the business has an appropriate HACCP-based food safety management system in place. (Information from UK Food Standards Agency)
